He scratched the back of his head. "Oh, uh, I was going to help give you some pointers. You know, since you wanted me to tutor you and all. I'm available now, but it looks like you're busy. I'll go ahead and go back to my room now.
Kirin Oshiro
Progress is flowing much faster than I've anticipated. Good. As of now I know of our side's Archer, Rider and Berserker...
"Mister Blair."
"Yeah?"
"You mentioned participating in the war on our side. Are you by any chance a Master, or are you just a regular mage from the association?"
Zoraya Krauss
Zoraya paced around her basement. It was nighttime now. The summoning circle was already drawn, and all that was left was the catalyst. She glanced at the command seals on her hand and tightened her jaw.
Those fools better be coming here soon. I refuse to be out of the running for a second time.
A few agonizingly long minutes later, the doorbell rang. Moments later a house servant arrived at the basement.
“Um, this is for you.” The servant held out a box.
“Hmph. Took them long enough. I’m surprised they’re even slightly competent.” Zoraya took the box. “Call the church and tell them the representative of the Krauss household will be coming shortly.”
“Yes ma’am!” The servant hurried off to fulfill the task.
Ah, what do we have here. She pulled out two fragments of metal. Shards of a sword perhaps? I suppose that will do. She placed the shards in the center of the summoning circle and stood back, holding her left hand out in front of her.
“Heed my words! My ambition creates your body, and your blade fulfills my destiny!
The future has been tainted with the greed of the youth. The treasured traditions are threatened with naievity.” The summoning circle started to glow a pale yellow.
“The eyes of the world are clouded by sins, and I shall be the one to bestow its virtues!
I hereby swear to bring justice to the world, to restore time and space to its previous glory! Answer to these truths, for I refuse to be denied!
Seventh Heaven clad in the great words of power, come forth from your subjugation, Lord of Fortitude!”
The glow started fading away, only to return in a burst of red light that nearly blinded Zoraya. A knight-like figure stood in the middle of the circle as the light faded away, with his sword poised at her neck. Zoraya stood unflinchingly.
“Disobedient already?” she challenged.
The man smirked. “Ah, not even a twitch. Forgive me, it was a mere test. You’ve definitely passed.” He sheathed his sword. “Allow me to introduce myself." He bowed. "I am Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, the Saber of Spades.”
Zoraya smiled. “Excellent.”
Anne
NO! STAY!
"Um well, actually Hera here really wanted to sleep, and I was disturbing her, so I could use some help... First WHAT IN THE WORLD IS MANA? Second, how do I find my magical ability? I think that all of you guys have one... Finally WHAT IS MY JOB AS A MASTER?"
Cody Lazarus
"Alright, alright..." He sat down, cross-legged. "Let me tell you the story behind this whole war. Mana is an invisible type of energy that is spent to cast magic spells. We humans naturally regenerate mana overtime, and the source is a mysterious dimension called Sanctum, where all mana originates. However, we can only use so much mana before having to spend a long time regenerating, and thus some larger spells are impossible due to us having a limited capacity for it. The Sanctum Key, the item we're fighting over, has the power to unlock the gates to Sanctum and give its wielders unlimited mana, which can be used to accomplish nearly anything."
"Is that... bad?"
"Power corrupts. We plan on getting the key to destroy it. As for your magical specialty... Well, all I can say is try your hand at a lot of things and find what suits you the best. I have little control over that. As a master, your servant will usually obey your commands and fight alongside you against the enemy team, the Spades. If you need to, you can use one of three limited command seals to make your spirit obey you without question and perform certain tasks such as teleportation."
Anne
"But... What exactly should I do to find my specialty? I don't even know where to begin!"
((Hahahaha! Poor Anne, she's gonna have a very HOT experience soon. If you haven't read her bio, this might tell you what her specialty is))
Jack Blair
"Yes I'm a master. I'm not part of any association. I was a lone mage doing my normal business until all this happened. And now I have a spirit named-"
"Celtchar" Celtchar said, "I can confirm Jackson is my master."
Hera
"Here," Hera said handing Anne her book of spells. "I'll let you keep this. This book not only has information on the Sanctum War, but it also has a diverse collection of spells. You've already tried healing magic. Why don't you flip through and find another spell you'd like to try? Cody and I are here if you need any help."
Anne
"Oh. Okay. I wonder why I feel an intense desire to try out various types of elemental magic..."
((If you want to, check Anne's bio on page 2. I'm updating it a little.))
Hera
"I know a good beginner spell for that type of magic. Here!" Hera flipped through the pages of the spell book and came across the spell she was looking for. "Here it is! This is a fire spell. It's a little challenging to control, but I think you can handle it."
Anne
"Um... ok."
Anne tried the spell, it was meant to send out a small burst of fire, but so much appeared that Hera's room would have been destroyed if Caster hadn't been clever enough to make everything fireproof.
"What just happened?"
Anne stood there looking super confused not knowing what had happened, she just remembered the desire to burn things that came.
Cody Lazarus
He took off his glasses and did his best to wipe the ash off. "Umm... Maybe we shouldn't have started with fire of all things..."
Anne
"Why shouldn't we have started with fire? On the bright side, the mansion's flame proof! That felt good. I want to try again, but I also don't want to ruin Hera's bedroom. How about I ruin yours Cody?"
Looking at Cody's shocked face made Anne want to laugh so bad.
"Just kidding! Can you get Caster to give me a balcony? I wonder where I can practice without ruining anything."
Cody Lazarus
"A balcony would not be the optimal place to practice combat spells. Still though, I can ask Caster to install one. In the meantime, we should have a courtyard that you can practice in."
He scratched the back of his head. "Oh, uh, I was going to help give you some pointers. You know, since you wanted me to tutor you and all. I'm available now, but it looks like you're busy. I'll go ahead and go back to my room now.
