Top 10 Most Useless Abilities
NOT IN ORDER... YET
1. Honey Gather (Seriously, I think that this ability only works in DPP and that's it)
2. Illuminate (I guess it's good if you want to encounter more Pokemon so..)
3. Synchronize (Synchronize by itself isn't necessarily bad, it's just that Pokemon that carry Synchronize get afflicted with status moves that are the users' own typing. (Gardevoir[Synchronize] afflicted by poison[Toxic] by Scolipede)
4. Truant (Really, the biggest put-off/turn-off for using Slaking. We all know that Slaking is really strong by itself already, but it could have gotten Slow Start as a second ability.)
5. Battery (I guess battery will be good for double battles, but other than that, it's pretty horrible.)
6. Plus (I mean, I guess I could've put both Plus & Minus together, but I need more coverage. There's probably only 3 Pokemon with Plus/Minus, and it's not like they are exceptional in any way. Plus, the only working only in conjunction with other plus/minus Pokemon has to make it one of the most useless abilities out there right now.)
7. Minus (SAME)
8. Power of Alchemy (I guess it's alright with double battles, but other than that, it's pretty useless. You also carry a chance to carry the 'wrong ability'. Like if you were battling with (x) Pokemon, and you plan to use it as a setup, but it dies before it sets up, and you copy that Pokemon's ability. SMH LOL)
9. Receiver (SAME) (I guess Gen VII is trying to emphasize alternate battle styles other than Single battles).
10. Symbiosis (Like. Do I need to even explain? It's not even useful during double battles. "Passes held item to ally". Sure, it's nice. But it's pretty much guaranteed that every Pokemon during EVERY battle possesses some kind of item at least in the beginning of the match).
(Un-honorable mentions - A LOT MORE. I'm sure you all know what they are.)
