In the distant future, human genetics have changed--but for better or worse? Now with the ability to retain complete manual control over every single part of their brain at any given moment, humans have adapted their abilities beyond what used to be believed possible. The mutation affects different people in different ways--some gain super strength; others, flight. But it affects everyone. There isn't a single living person left on Earth without a power.
The problem is, some people can't control their powers.
These weaklings, outcast and alone, are sent to live in an asylum on a small island, where everyone knows they'll never escape. After all, they're guarded by some of the most powerful people in the world, and they can't even control their magic.
Despite the impossible odds, many prisoners are determined to escape...
I am a firm believer in that every roleplay can and should be turned into a novel. Therefore, I must set these restrictions:
1) No god-modding. This means no characters that can take over another character's mind/body.
2) No bunnying without permission. This means you can't take over another character's mind/body outside of roleplay, either, unless another RPer asks you to take their place for a little while.
3) NO, NO, NO MARY-SUES OR MARTY-STUES! PLEAAASE! I BEG YOU! SAVE YOUR PERFECT CHARACTERS WITH NO PERSONALITY FAULTS FOR ANOTHER THREAD!
4) Please write in third-person's point of view. Grammar is appreciated.
5) Anything outside of roleplay needs to be in double parenthesis, ((like this)). Because I'm cool like that.
6) Rules are subject to change as soon as I figure out more ways to exercise my tyrannical power as owner of this thread.
7) Applaud me for ingeniously inventing a scheme to figure out the spoiler alert things.
8) There is a three character per person limit. This may change later for somewhat selfish reasons. <((I am so not going to get rid of the dude with sunglasses that #8 turned into. XD))
9) If you want to kill someone, ask them first. This applies both for this roleplay and real life.
10) I consider powers which can only be triggered by a certain event or powers which happen spontaneously and without warning to count as uncontrollable.
11) And that reminds me... all characters who are created must have an uncontrollable power.

Name: Gemina
Nickname (optional): Mirror or Mir
Age: 14
Gender: F
How long they've been in the prison: 13 years
Appearance: Uhmm... N/A...
Bio: Mir leads many lives, and few people at the prison even know she exists. Nevertheless, she can be very... influential.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Mir has the power to "mirror" the appearance of everyone she meets. Basically, she turns into the twin of whoever comes in contact with her skin. She can use this to her advantage, but the fact that she can't control it leads to a major weakness--a single touch will expose the well-kept secret of her identity.
Weaknesses (name at least three): The fact that bumping into someone could mean that she loses a lot of her influence and anonymity; water is a major weakness of hers, because when it splashes on her she loses form for a full hour; she's also very clumsy in bodies that she isn't accustomed to.
Are you okay with your character potentially falling in love?: Yes
Other (optional): I think that's it.
Name: Melody
Nickname (optional): Gravity
Age: 18
Gender: F
How long they've been in the prison: New Recruit
Appearance: Black hair, green eyes, basically loves wearing the color green; has an eye patch over right eye.
Bio: Gravity came from a long line of people with the power of levitation, so when her twin brother, Grayson, was born with twice the usual amount of levitation, it was assumed that somehow he had leached all of her powers while they were in the womb together. Only Gravity and Grayson knew the truth, and they always stuck together--Grayson had to levitate Gravity to the ground when she accidentally reversed it for herself. They were determined not to tell, because they knew--or rather, didn't know--what happened to people who couldn't control their powers. But one week Grayson had to go on a trip and couldn't bring Gravity along. Gravity fell to the ceiling only a few minutes after he had gone, gouging out her right eye on the light fixture when she did so. She was sent to the asylum the next day.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Gravity has the power to reverse Gravity--usually only for herself, although it has happened to people she's angry at more than once. It happens at random and she has no warning or control.
Weaknesses (name at least three): Well, for starters she can't go outside, since she would probably fall off into the sky to who knows where. Also, gravitational are not matters of floating upwards as they are in many video games. You fall just as quickly as you would in real life, getting very seriously injured (like what happened with her eye). Also, being half-blind can't exactly be counted as a strength. Her depth perception is a little off.
Are you okay with your character potentially falling in love?: Yep. <3
Other (optional): Nothing I can think of, at the moment. DX

Zenwarrior54:
Name: Lloyd Watson
Nickname : Psycho
Age: 15
Gender: Male
How long they've been in the prison: 10 years
Appearance: His hair is pitch black. His eyes are mismatched, but neither natural- Dark Red and Dark Blue.
Bio: They thought Lloyd would be the first human to lack powers in centuries. They were wrong- in the worst way. He was a quiet one... He didn't talk much. Good at basic math and science, but terrible at history. It wasn't like he didn't get what the books were saying... it was just that he seemed to disagree with them.
Lloyd and his mother were at the train station. For thirty minutes, the 5 year old kept saying, "Mom. You're going to die." This definitely disturbed everyone around them. He was persistent, though. "I'm telling you, Mom. You're going to be run over by a train." This didn't make sense, however- train related deaths have been at a solid zero for the past century.
Lloyd and his mother looked to the distance. The train had finally arrived. Lloyd suddenly stood back. "Lloyd, wait!" his mother said. Her last words. An act of terrorism had the train derailed, launching off the track and running over his mother. Everyone around him was screaming. One man's shout had them all killed.
"Hey! What the **** are you, kid?!"
Lloyd gazed at him. One of his eyes suddenly (and permanently) turned blood-red. The man suddenly lost control of his mind. He started screaming like a maniac. One last scream echoed, as he died of a heart attack. Other citizens took the initiative. A woman shot lasers from her eyes at Lloyd. From one glance, the lasers disappeared in a flash of light, and her eyes lit on fire. More screams, and another heart attack. Every other citizen started to attack this Psycho. Projectiles, bullets, fire, ice, all failures. Everyone at the train station ended up dead. Everyone except 5 year old Lloyd.
How they captured him remains a mystery. But they did. He was registered as prisoner 639-547-109, Code-Name "Psycho".
Power : Psycho further provides evidence of the recent scientific theory that all humans' minds and personalities are somehow connected, perhaps to a central intelligence. Some would call the one who is in control of the intelligence "God". According to this theory, God is connected to and has complete control over the minds and actions of all humans. These humans are connected to each other in a similar way, but cannot control one another. At least, nobody has been able to do it, but according to this theory, a super-intelligent human could possibly have limited ability to have access to the minds of those who surround him/her. Serve this alongside a lethal dose of insanity, and you have Psycho's case.
Lloyd was born with the incredibly rare power called "Central Control'. If left unchecked, he can have access to the minds and bodies of everyone around him, including their powers. Normally, this would basically make a man a god, and potentially bring salvation to the human race. Not in this case- Lloyd has been diagnosed with pure insanity. He has absolute control over everyone else, yet at the same time has NO control. Everyone surrounding him either loses access to their powers... or worse. They go haywire. Scientists have somehow found a way to limit his power, but there is no true way to suppress it completely.
tl;dr powers: Psychic. He disrupts (messes around with) everyone else's powers, at random. He's a genius, but also insane.
Weaknesses: Mentally unstable, Antisocial, Powers are being held back.
Other: If he starts to hold a strong connection to a character (friendship, or... more...), he might be able to hold back his own power to stop from disrupting theirs- or, he might even be able to help them gain complete control over their powers...
Name: Lexi O'Connor
Nickname: Pulse
Age: 15
Gender: Female
How long they've been in the prison: N/A (New inmate)
Appearance: Blonde (Irrelevant, as she dyed her hair Blue) , bright blue eyes, freckles
Bio: Lexi was a prodigy. She had exceptional power over electricity- she could take it in, even from pure static form, and store it within her body indefinitely. She could "Charge" this way. She then could discharge it into a generator, ect. to give it more power. The military wanted to learn more about her, so she gladly complied- she trusted them. What she didn't know was that they wanted to install genetic implants that enhanced her power. After a few operations, she was even more powerful. She could hold more power, absorb it even faster, and unleash devastating attacks. "It's for the security of the people- the world needs more people like you, Lexi." The military would always say. Lexi wanted to help. Perhaps these new implants could help her join the police force like she always wanted.
After the operation, she joined the police force as a powerful crime fighter. On her first job, however, something went wrong. She had a sufficient amount of energy inside her for the mission- track down a murderer. When she and her two partners got there, the killer made a run for it. She decided to stop him dead in his tracks by tazing him with her lighting. His tracks weren't the only thing dead- she lost control of the amount of discharge and accidentally launched all of her charge into one attack, killing him. After that incident, the police force decided to temporarily revoke her badge and put her through a few tests to make sure she had adequate stability for her job. Sure enough, she had lost control over her powers- sometimes, she would involuntarily take away an object's charge, leaving it powerless. That, or the other, much worse affect- random and uncontrolled discharges. She no longer had control over when she discharged her power, but one thing WAS certain- when she did it, ALL of her power was always let out at once. She no longer had control over her (Incredibly Dangerous) power, and was sent to the asylum as Prisoner 812-275-750, Code-Name "Pulse" until she could regain control.
Power : Lightning/Electricity- She had the ability to take away charge from any electrical object, IE. computers, batteries, lamps. She then gains all electricity that was stored inside it, and can then release it into attacks. She somehow lost control over it, however, and randomly releases all charge in an unpredictable pattern. It's incredibly dangerous to be near her when she has a high charge, so she is put in a maximum security cell specially designed to conduct all of her charge and ground it whenever she discharges, rendering it harmless as long as nobody else is in the cell. Also, though it goes without saying, she can't be hurt by electricity.
Weaknesses: No control over her powers, powers (opportunities to charge) limited to environment, loses charge in water (Exception: Thunder storm, see "Other")
Other: During a thunder storm, she will become incredibly powerful- she can take power directly from the storm and create gigantic electrical shock waves, causing massive destruction.

Name: Ryker Z.
Nickname (optional): Hmmm...nah, just call him Ryker.
Age: 14
Gender: Male
How long they've been in the prison: 8 years
Appearance (when he hasn't shifted): Ryker has dark eyes and floppy hair. He always wears a black and white hoodie and a dark glove on his left hand. Also, on his right arm is a band to nullify his power, otherwise he could use it to escape. Oh, and he never smiles...his face is always a expressionless mask...
Bio:
Ryker used to be considered "sweet" and a perfect, model child...intelligent and bright, smiling and laughing, never picking a fight- the least contentious and pugnacious kid possible. One day, though, after a terrible tantrum, the true extent of his temper is shown...
His power flared out of control, and his form quickly shifted to beast after beast, each as terrible as the last. He was finally sedated with a bolt through his left arm, but afterwards he had to have it amputated from his elbow down. He received a new mechanical arm that worked nearly as well as his real one did (the wonders of future technology), but he also was given a one-way ticket to the prison...
Because of the jacket and glove, those who meet Ryker don't know his arm is mechanical. He also now never smiles (and rarely talks), as he has decided that emotions only hamper and result in ruin.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Ryker can shape-shift. Before he landed himself in prison, his power was well-controlled. However, after the incident in which he lost his arm, Ryker's power is uncontrollable. He sometimes can't stop himself from turning into various, random animals. Losing his temper, though, results in more dramatic, violent and terrifying beasts. As a result, the managers of the prison attached a silver band to his right arm which prevents him from using his powers (otherwise he could try to use it and escape).
Weaknesses (name at least three): Ryker doesn't display emotion and barely talks, causing him to come across to others as sullen and hostile. This makes it hard for him to trust and get to know others. Also, he can't enter water because of his mechanical arm. He is also cold-hearted and shows no remorse or mercy, which means you better not get him mad at you...and his line between right and wrong are seriously messed up.
Other (optional): Ryker, from a young age, was always fascinated by electronics. The guards used to give him parts to play with to (quoting them) "make the creepy little bugger stop givin' us a death glare", but the prison manager made them stop after years, out of fear he could create something to aid an escape. However, Ryker is still good with mechanical things like robots.

Lilium
Name: Lusinga Ruun
Nickname: Nightmare Girl, Dream Eater
Age: 16
Gender: Female
How long they've been in the prison: 13 years
Appearance: With pitch-black hair and unnaturally colored eyes, a scar across her right eye and a permanent smile, Lusinga is truly a girl of nightmares. She wears a long black dress dappled with blood, which is said to be meant to cover her "third eye;" the gateway to the spirit world. No one really knows if it's true. No one has dared to look. Her true face is not known, and will stay unknown.
Bio: Lusinga has lived a life of solitude, ever since her deliverance to the island prison. After an incident where she invaded the dreams of seven guards and mauled them to death, her mouth has been sowed shut, but unintentionally, in a permanent smile. Preferring to keep away from others, she takes delight in feeding on dreams and tainting them with horrific, vivid imagery. Lusinga has befriended a ghost named Lucy, who aids her in eating dreams and poisoning others' minds.
Power: Has the ability to turn wonderful dreams into nightmares, often causing victims to thrash themselves to death. Also has near constant contact with the spirit world.
Weaknesses: Since the victim must be asleep as well as in sight, Lusinga is often unable to invade dreams. Although her ability allows her to keep victims in eternal slumber as a way to keep them from waking up, her powers are far from its full potential, and so cannot do this. Alongside this, Lucy contains her own power, and when channeled, may cause Lusinga to go on a rampage.
Other: Uses telepathy to communicate with others she may come across with.

Name: Ambrosius Blackstone
Nickname (optional): Lock (We don't know why he prefers this)
Age: 19
Gender: Male
How long they've been in the prison: 3 years
Appearance: Has ear length dirty blonde hair and green eyes. Lean, Stands at 5'9''. Very bony hands
Bio: Ambrosius Blackstone was around fire from when he was very young. However that was okay, as he came from a line of high-regarded pyromancers, from entertainers to chefs, the Blackstones were a respected family. So when Ambrosius was born, he was around the burning brightness immediately and developed his pyromancy early.
He, like all of his family, was home-schooled to hone the family craft. Everything was going perfectly fine until near his 16th birthday. A training day as usual turned into a disaster. Grandy Blackstone had called in a skilled ice swordsman to test his grandson's skills and (with his new strange nick-name) Lock was ready.
The ice swordsman only threw one volley when Lock exploded into flame leaving nothing where he was. The Blackstones were in sheer terror, this had only happened once before, Grandy's dad had used his last bit of energy to die in a huge combustion so they assumed this is what had happened to Lock. However, they found him 50 yards away with charred clothes wondering what had just happened.
After further experimentation they found out Lock could explode and travel very quickly from place to place as well as pyromancy and needless to say, they were impressed. Grandy was almost ready to sign him up for a competition until during practice he told Grandy he couldn't control when he did it. Grandy told him this wasn't an issue and signed him up anyways, however the moment the asylum comitee found out about his strange combusting he was sent to asylum until he could prove he was in control.
Lock hasn't left asylum since
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Lock is a true Blackstone pyromancer, being able to create beautiful and destructive tongues of multi-colored flame to use to impress and destroy. However, he has one side effect, he will randomly combust and reform in another place when triggered by a strong emotion
Weaknesses (name at least three): Lock is angered easily and his fire abilities WILL kick in. Due to his combustion, he often becomes very discombobulated when trying to focus hard on a conflict, as this focus will trigger a combustion. He is a little narcissistic about his well-known family which can come to annoy some.

Gender: Male
How long they've been in the prison: 4 years
Appearance: John has red hair and is short, he doesn't look that interesting, and wears pretty regular clothing
Bio: John was an issue from when he was two. His powers came along when he was four, making a problem child a bigger problem child. He had been gifted with flight and the ability to control wind. He had full, ready to fly wings by the time he was five, which as you can imagine, made the most rowdy child in the grade school infamous. He became home schooled the next year as the teachers couldn't stand him. he would try to pull apart or break anything he found, would fly off randomly during important things or use his power at the most awkward times. He yelled at everyone he ever met, and and absolutely zero friends. His wild uncontrollable wind power (he flew perfectly) were attributed to his behavior until he was 10. A little while after he turned ten he stopped talking as much as he did, to the point where he was almost silent. 3 months later he came to his parents and asked to be put back in school. His parents were very confused. Gone was the wild kid who was kicked out of everything and here was a quieter, composed kid. His parents couldn't understand it. But in the mean time, they sent him back to school. That didn't do well. Within 2 hours he had unleashed a hurricane on the school by struggling on a math problem. He was then hauled from school to the island asylum, and given a bracelet to calm his wind power. He hasn't seen his parents since...
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): John has wings to fly and can control wind. His wind power is provoked very easily, even with his fancy bracelet, He really doesn't mean to set it off, but almost any emotion, will get his power going.
Weaknesses (name at least three): Short, not much combat prowess as he is tiny. Can be pushy at times, trying to pry his way into other's business.

MysticShadow
Name: Lorelei
Nickname (optional): Lori
Age: 9 (time to have a really young character for a change)
Gender: Female
How long they've been in the prison: 4 years
Appearance: Short, unnaturally pink hair; hazel eyes
Bio: Lori was abandoned at the orphanage when she was very little, so she doesn't know much about her parents. She was very shy so she had no friends, staying inside and drawing while everyone else would be playing among each other. It continued like this until one day, one of Lori's drawings came to life; a stick figure named 'Lee.'
It turns out Lori can conjure objects and creatures from her imagination. It was a harmless ability at first, until one night, Lori had a nightmare. The nightmare was most likely caused by a prank by a few boys in the orphanage who put a spider in her hair. The nightmare, of course, involved spiders. Or rather, a giant spider that came to life that ended up wrecking the orphanage. That was the cue for sending Lori to the asylum.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Summoning objects and creatures from her imagination. Controlling the power never really came up in Lori's mind, as she was really delighted with all the company from the various things she conjures. Her power is easier to use when she actually draws the object/creature, but it happens just as often when she is unaware.
Weaknesses (name at least three): The things that Lori conjures can't disappear (they can be killed or destroyed); she is young so she has the mind of a child, making her unable to use her power to its full potential; she conjures things randomly and it even extends to when she's dreaming. She also can't control the things she summons (yet), but she usually befriends them and they are happy to help her when needed.
Are you okay with your character potentially falling in love?: No.
Other: Lee (the stick figure) is Lori's best friend. Being small, he can slip under the cell door and sneak around. A lot of times he does this when Lori is sleeping.
Clarification: When Lori is dreaming, she isn't actually aware that she is bringing some things in the dream to life. Also she isn't a lucid dreamer either.
Name: Xylla N. Eldevier
Nickname (optional): Xyl
Age: 16
Gender: F
How long they've been in the prison: New Recruit
Appearance: Short, gray hair. Teal eyes. Has headphones.
Bio: Xylla's family has powers that deal with one (or more) of the 5 senses. Xylla is no exception. However, her abilities came at different times. First came her excellent hearing abilities. A pretty harmless and not that impressive ability that was discovered when she was 3. Later on she found out she could hear people's thoughts if she tried hard enough. She kept this a secret of course. However, it was on her 16th birthday when she discovered her sound lowering and amplifying abilities. It was during school when she was walking by the orchestra practice room. They were practicing a new song and it sounded absolutely terrible. The sound was soon abruptly stopped, but then after a few seconds it came back MUCH louder, shattering all the windows of that building.
Afterwards, everyone became deaf and the asylum guards soon caught the culprit.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Sound manipulation. Whatever she hears will be amplified to an extremely high volume, loud enough to break glass. Xylla can also lower the volume of any sounds she hears. She doesn't have to actually hear sounds to make them louder or quieter, but not hearing them drastically decreases the chances of that happening.
She also has excellent hearing, even exceeding to being able to hear the conscious of one's mind when her surroundings are extremely silent.
Weaknesses (name at least three): Even though Xylla has a much higher sound resistance then normal humans, her powers can still damage her ears.
She has headphones that make her practically deaf when she has them on.
While Xylla has heightened hearing, her eyesight is rather poor. She refuses to wear glasses no matter what the cost though.
Are you okay with your character potentially falling in love?: Sure
Other (optional): She has a very apathetic personality. Doesn't care for many things. She wasn't really that close with her family either because they mostly ignored her out of disappointment of a lacking ability (until her 16th birthday).

The-Box
Name: Maria
Nickname (optional): Mari
Age: 12
Gender: Female ((Because why not))
How long they've been in the prison: 1 year
Appearance: 141 centimeters, 127 centimeter long pink hair, Heterochromia iridum right eye is red and left eye is yellow ((Lack of melanin + whatever the yellow pigmentation is in one eye and albino in the other which causes blood vessels show through)), Gothic lolita attire
Bio: Maria was found one day in the asylum's kitchen when a large explosion resounded within the facility's walls. Upon entering the kitchen, some guards found a young girl with a tray of burnt pastry-like objects with most of the ovens and cooking utilities ablaze. Upon questioning her, she responded, "Do you happen to have more cakes?" and suddenly an avalanche of flour rained upon the guards. She complied when reinforcements came to restrain her, due to the display of an unknown power, under the premise that she would be given some cake.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Maria's abilities are restrained by another "power" residing within her mental framework. It is the Protection, Order, Compliance, Keep, Ensure, and Think system or P.O.C.K.E.T. for short. P.O.C.K.E.T. restricts many of the functions of the brain and it's primary purpose is to protect it's host. It randomly selects an item/skill/body modification/etc. to apply depending on a situation. This is triggered mostly at random even for some of the most menial of tasks but occurs almost always when it deems it's host to be threatened. P.O.C.K.E.T. can materialize or vanish at will, is shaped liek a cube, and can be used as transportation for Maria.
Weaknesses (name at least three): Maria has a large sweet tooth and likes cake especially fruit variants and will instinctively search for cake. Maria's ability to rationally think is restricted with the semi-rational P.O.C.K.E.T. dealing with most tasks. P.O.C.K.E.T. is in essence as separate entity from Maria. Maria is not physically strong and her vitality can be considered quite poor. Maria cannot understand the concept of baking correctly and therefore will destroy any cooking utilities used in the process, however, she is able to prepare things such as yakisoba, potato salad, and eel.
Other (optional): ((May add later))
Name: Bacchus Dios
Nickname (optional): Bacchus, The Drinker
Age: 32
Gender: Male
How long they've been in the prison: 23 years (one of initial asylum inmates)
Appearance: 194cm tall, relatively brawny in build, messy black hair
Bio:
Bacchus always found it interesting that he was given this name at birth as it seemed to him that he was destined to be stuck with his power. When he was nine years of age, he awakened his dormant abilities of controlling alcohol. Unfortunately, this just so happened to occur when he was in a feverish state. As he attended school, everyone around began to act strangely. Eventually, violence broke out among the students who lashed out at each other. It ended up with almost a school wide brawl in which even many of the teachers were involved in.
When the authorities finally arrived, it took them hours upon hours to get the situation under control. Due to the large quantity of disorientated people in the school, it took each batch of police a long time to even manage anything and by then, many of them too, succumbed to alcohol saturated air.
After a period of time, most of the people within the vicinity of the school became burnt out from all the alcohol in their systems so the police were finally able to enter to try to discover the source. It took them a long time still to find Bacchus, whose condition had worsened in the meantime. As he was deemed too risky to be admitted to a hospital so he was given minimal treatment and stuffed in solitary confinement in the outskirts of town.
A few days later, the new institution was officially in use. The Asylum, a so called sanctuary for those who had no reign over their powers. Young Bacchus became one of the first batches of people placed in a cell. He received cell 1-17. Section one was where the initial isolation wards were located and the cells were spaced more widely apart. Eventually, new facilities and cells were added, however, section one remains one of the most vacant sections. This section houses the first inmates, most of their powers being deemed disruptive for daily life but not overly dangerous.
After years, Bacchus became quite acquainted with the guards sent to watch over him and provided them with drinks for their parties of sorts. Now, Bacchus is a regular face in the guard's resting room which has been modified into a pub of sorts. He frequently goes over to play poker, billiards, mahjong, and various other games with the guards. ((Not being provided alcohol by your boss is rough on these people))
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Alcohol-
Bacchus's power is the ability to convert water/(some other liquids) into alcohol groups as long as there is some carbon he can use within him or in his immediate surroundings. After some time, this ability extended to all sorts of wines, spirits, and even mixed drinks with non alcoholic components. His bloodstream contains large quantities of alcohol. His anatomical structure is somewhat different from a normal human's as in place of water, ethanol and most -ol groups can be used to create chemical reactions in the body interchangeably. Bacchus also has a vastly improved liver, many, many times stronger than a normal humans as it metabolizes alcohol on a constant basis. Various other parts of his circulatory, digestive, urinary, immune, and various other systems are all enhanced to support this constant flow of alcohol. This also improves his basic physical shape. Whilst a normal human goes into a comatose state at around 0.4 BAC, Bacchus can get up to around ((not quite sure what number I want)) ~50.0 BAC (500 grams of alcohol per 1000 grams of blood). The alcohol produced daily changes without his control at midnight. It takes him around an hour to convert 30 liters of water into the equivalent amount of alcohol. Then if this is applied to another human being, it would take him an hour to increase their BAC by 0.4 through direct contact and an upwards of a week to do so through air particles which can be metabolized by humans unless the power goes out of control. The change of water into alcohol happens randomly but heightened if constant contact is applied ((the times provided will fluctuate greatly. lower deviation from source liquid = less time needed))
Weaknesses (name at least three): Requires a large quantity of alcohol in the body, if deprived of carbons and such, will feel the effects of dehydration. Lowered alcohol quantities below certain point will give Bacchus the standard symptoms of being "drunk". Takes a relatively long time to get quantities for abilities to function. Cannot use ability on really large bodies of water ((larger than a small//medium pond)). Overly using ability gnaws at interiors to obtain necessary components.

Name: Ezo
Nickname (optional): Wolf
Age: 12
Gender: Male
How long they've been in the prison: 6 hours ((From new shipment))
Appearance: Sharp teeth, taller than average, Black hair, and
Bio: Ezo came from a linage of metal users, they had perfect control over it. His family would often go to work in factories to help make blueprints for different things. One day everything changed.
Ezo was out with his parents at a festival. A boy at the festival teased him because of his mask. Enraged, Ezo proceeded to collapse buildings by turning the metal into armor on himself. The asylum guards found him in a matter of seconds. They shipped him off to the prison, though they couldn't seem to take off Ezo's armor.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Ezo can change the form of metal and add it to his body or change it into an object. Ezo can't control it because when he tries, the metal will just go wacko and nothing will happen. Ezo can't seem to focus... ((Please tell me if too OP))
Weaknesses (name at least three): He can't control how much metal he takes. He has to rely on a mask to breath air, and is color blind.
Chibi (optional but encouraged):
Other (optional): Ezo may seem menacing, but is actually quite friendly.

Appearance: Around 165 cm. Shoulder-length black hair, eyes that change color according to mood (red-anger, purple-happy, dark blue-sad, normally is a lime green color), only wears pants (whether short or long) with comfortable shirts.
Bio: She used to experiment with her power at home from time to time when she was younger. Eona was actually quite good at controlling her power. One day, she was experimenting when her power went out of control. In that incident, she destroyed most of her home and her family with it. Traumatized, part of her brain went into a defensive state where she completely forgot about how to use her power and what it can do. Eona is sarcastic with a bit of dark humor in order to protect herself from pain. Doesn't smile or laugh very often but is capable of doing so...
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): She can form knives and other weapons using the shadows. Also, she can shadow teleport although she isn't able to do it all of the time. Powerful but is a very tiring power to use. Other than her power, proficient with swords but, of course, all that was taken when she was put in jail.

Weaknesses (name at least three): Anger Issues which make her powers flare from time to time unintentionally, fear of her own power, lack of stamina.
Chibi (optional but encouraged):
Other (optional): Next to the cell of Ryker
Epilson
Name: Hisoka Yasu
Nickname (optional): Hissu
Age: 19
Gender: Unknown Variable
How long they've been in the prison: 5 years
Appearance: Blue, medium length hair, purple eyes, and often wearing a red leather jacket with stripped shirt and jeans. Also has head bandages.
Bio: Hisoka is a very laid back, but cheerful person. "He" likes having short pleasant conversations, but shows resentment whenever someone tries "pushing" him to do something. Hisoka specializes in summoning magic, carrying around a special and ancient book with "him", which has been identified as "his" familiar (and can summon the book to "himself" if lost or taken). However, "He" also has a rather unfortunate condition, causing everyone, even the guards, to avoid "him" at all costs.
"He" lost all control what gender "he" is.
At a very young age, Hisoka had trouble identifying "his" own gender. At age 14, "he" attempted a magic to transform "himself", but backfired, and rebounded. Hisoka then received heavy mental damage from abuse given from "his" parents, ultimately causing "him" to lose any control over "his" powers. An out-lash of "his" powers caused a collapse of "his" him, killing both of Hisoka's parents, and thus, apprehended by the asylum.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Randomly switching genders, though it has been noted that it seems related to a sudden change in brain activity. "He" often curses the use of the restrooms for this. The most worrisome part, however, is changing other peoples genders. If Hisoka is heavily emotionally aroused by someone, their gender will automatically switch to the opposite for a short time, often between 45 to 60 minutes. This causes "his" cell to be isolated from everybody else's, as no one has any will of their gender being questioned. The guards also keep a safe distance from the cell. Every time "he" does switch someones gender, they give "him" a good whack in the head, before running away in tears, thus Hisoka's head bandage. "He" also can no longer control what "he" summons from "his" spell book, often resulting into major randomness.
Weaknesses (name at least three): Very lazy, often not taking things seriously, and forgetting to tie "his" shoes, causing "him" to trip all the time. Hisoka is also dramatic over things, like confronting the guards with "his" spell book, attempting to break out, only to summon a stinky sock. "His" power on turning people into different genders also tends to get him many concussions.
Other (optional): Tends to get crushes on people easily.

M217
Name: Simon P. Blackburn
Nickname (optional): Professor
Age:12
Gender:M
How long they've been in the prison:First day today
Appearance:Pale skin, black hair, thick dark glasses, dark 3-piece suit. about 5'7, making him a little tall for his age
Bio: N/A. He has no memory of who he is.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): He tells his power the function of the machine he needs, and it gives him a mental blueprint of how to build a machine the fits his demand, although it does find loopholes. If he accepts the machine, It provides him with the materials he needs to build it. These are usually way ahead of their time. Also, a few limits on professor's power are that: everything he invents must be scientifically explainable, not magic, to prevent god-modding, he can never get the same thing more than once, although he can get materials he needs (eg: sheet metal), he does not get the tools (Hammer, screwdriver), he is incapable of building himself and it is very hard for him to direct builders since he can't see what they are doing, if he uses his power twice in quick succession it is much less accurate, so he needs a lengthy recharge period to utilize it well, and most importantly, his power exists to screw with him and will take plenty of opportunities to find loopholes in what he asks for.
Are you okay with your character potentially falling in love?: No problem.
Weaknesses (name at least three): He has absolutely no memory of his life ((does this count?)), he's broomstick skinny, and he's blind.
Name: Jessica Clements
Nickname (optional): Jess
Age: 21 (so one of the few people that can have a drink with Bacchus)
Gender: F
How long they've been in the prison: 4 years
Appearance: Tall (like 6 ft range), light brown hair, skin somewhere between fair and tanned, muscular, obsessed with the color orange.
Bio: She was always the perfect child. Straight A's in class, on the track team, on the varsity girl's wrestling team, in robotics club, in debate. Guys loved her, and by her sophomore year in high school she'd already had more than her fair share of boyfriends. Then, her powers manifested. It was still a bad memory for him. She was trying to tell Luke that she really weren't meant for each other. He'd insisted on taking her to an expensive restaurant, and he was in the middle of chugging what must have been his umpteenth beer. He, annoyed, told her to stop ruining the mood. She said she really didn't like him. He said that he would get her anything she wanted, she would only have to say the world. "I-don't care-about-money!" She yelled. He only laughed: "Everybody likes money." At this point she got so mad her power spontaneously activated. everything on the table was sucked into a vortex, then blasted out. His empty beer glasses struck him in the head, leaving him critically injured. He didn't make it.
Power (and explanation of why the character can't control it): Has a pocket dimension of infinite space. Can suck things in and blast them out with force. However, everything immediately around her is sucked in unless it is securely attached, so she has no control. Similarly, when released, everything is blasted out. Prone to activate with an emotional response. Notes: anything inside the pocket dimension is unaffected by powers. Also comes with marginally enhanced physical prowess and resilience and increased healing rate (minor regeneration), hence her muscular appearance. This is basically a safeguard in place by her power so she isn't murdered by a few hundred little trinkets blasted out from a central point directly in front of her.
Weaknesses (name at least three): Quick to anger and start beating people up, her power is linked to her emotion, so shock, anger, fear can activate it, she cannot control the scope of the power, so anything in the vicinity that is not securely bolted down comes in and anything inside will come out. She also opens the pocket dimension in front of her. She does not control the opening point.

nitrox116
Name: Maxwell Carn
Nickname: Max
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Time in prison: 2 years or so
Appearance:
Max makes even less-than-flattering prison uniform appear to be almost a suit when he wears it. He is impeccably dressed, and his clothing is perfectly symmetrical. He has blue eyes and pale, unblemished skin.
Bio:
Max hails from a family of scientists who each have a power to bend the laws of physics. Max's more chaotic power landed him in the Asylum when it was discovered.
Power: Max can essentially increase the entropy in the surrounding environment, while simultaneously decreasing his own personal entropy. However, he is forced to use his power almost constantly and has only limited control on its focus. Not using it for a while will make him more and more hyper and chaotic, until an entropy 'explosion' sets him back to normal and messes up the surrounding environment. Here are the effects in more detail.
Surrounding environment: Objects around him will become more random and chaotic: filing cabinets will become disorganized, flat walls and floors will become jagged, etc. Due to the nature of his power, this will affect more complex objects that need all of their parts to work perfectly more than, say, a 5-foot thick wall. This power is inherently random, so he cannot control exactly how things are disorganized (i.e. he can't build steps in a wall or just swap two papers in a filing cabinet.
People around him: While animals will not be affected physically by his power, they will be affected mentally. Unless he is focusing on you, surrounding objects will usually be the first to feel his effects. If he is, though, expect to feel hyper, as if you had eaten too much sugar, within 5 minutes. You will no longer be able to think very coherently. Prolonged exposure (1 hr of focus or so) will lead to seizure-like symptoms. Note that no mental effects are permanent and will end as soon as he stops focusing or leaves the area with no ill effects.
Himself: Max's own personal entropy is decreased, leading to mental organization (better memory, logical analysis, etc.) and physical organization (check appearance). In addition, it allows him to heal from (small) injuries more quickly and have a slight resistance to pathogens and toxins.
Weaknesses: Any objects that are being looked at by someone (security cameras don't count, they'll just display static) cannot be altered by Max's powers. (However, even a blink can allow them enough time to change.) Max is generally asocial because of his enhanced analysis and the fact that people he talks to for a while will start acting strange. This often causes him to stare into space or being unable interact with people very well. (He's an amiable person, he's just not used to talking.) As a third weakness, like mentioned earlier, a lot of his power is uncontrollable and it usually can't be used to produce exact results.

Name: Vladimir Zakharov ((I know this is a mouthful. Use his nickname- it's easier.))
Nickname: Vlad
Age: 19
Gender: M
How long he's been here: New recruit
Appearance: 6'2, lean and athletic, stringy white-blond hair, pale skin, wears sweatpants and sweatshirt or shorts and T-shirt, depending on the temperature
Bio: He'd been being bullied for being Russian and speaking English really poorly ever since middle school. He'd learned to cope- he became sullen and isolated,
and he'd worked out in the gym after school to get stronger. He had a naturally skinny figure, but with the constant strenuous exercise he'd become strong. He'd grown a full six inches, so now in high school he towered over most people. Then, one day, when he was walking home, 6 of the old bullies that used to pick on him cornered him. They'd put on muscle too. they were all clearly drunk. He threatened to kill them all, but they didn't listen. One of them, a pyrokinetic, sent a blast of fire so near his face his eyebrows were almost singed off. Growling, he used his power. He instantly summoned a projection Identical to him in all respects, except 5 times as strong, and 5 times as fast. "You orders: Frighten them!" He'd screamed in Russian. One of them, now scared, threw a brick. It hit Vlad square in the head, and he dropped. The projection, now unrestrained, massacred the entire group, then sank back into his creator.
Power: He creates a projection of himself, only much stronger and faster. This projection carries out short, 1 sentence orders, although he can and will get carried away. In addition, if he is injured or hurt, the projection will run rampant and kill everything in sight until it is killed, it sees that there is nothing for it to do, or he awakens.
Weaknesses: His projection is only barely controlled by him, and it will turn on him if his orders are unclear and it gets an opportunity. He has poor communication skills, further hindered by his poor understanding of English. He is not particularly clever, and can be slow on the uptake. Also, he has minimal strategy besides hit hard and hit fast.
Are you okay with your character potentially falling in love?: I don't mind.
