Welcome to Zenith, the first ever team-based competitive CST.
Welcome to the Tournament where 5 schools of magic and 5 teams of writers battle to prove their supremacy.
To Reiterate (Premise):
The world is a reflection of our middle ages, although due to the presence of magic there are key differences to note
Each in-CST team is comprised of 1 adult mentor and 3 younger students
Each team's magic is unique, as are their goals for the tournament
Not all of these goals will be made apparent immediately...

To Reiterate (Format)
In general the CST's format will be similar to a standard one, with regular interaction between the characters
In team VS team battle scenes, each team will make a write-up and the winner will be judged by the GM
In hoard battle scenes against NPCs (roaming creatures), teams may end up writing against the GM (these instances ae judged case by case)
At an unspecified point in the competition, battle scenes will end and the CST will proceed as regular
Rules:
All characters will have to be approved by the GM
(For this reason participants should avoid complaints about other teams' characters)
All winning battle posts will have been judged to be superior by the GM
(Although requests for an appeal will be considered, avoid making them excessively)
Character death CAN and WILL occur
(Seriously, it will)
This thread is no place for Out of Character discussion
(Find the Zenith CST Discussion thread for that)
Battle posts should be kept to a reasonable length
(Extra long posts will not help you secure wins)
***** Work on battle posts should be distributed as evenly as possible between the two writers
(Please, this one's important)
Introductory Posts
Each team will be required to submit an introductory post. This post takes place as their characters are about to enter the arena (although it may include one or more flashbacks) and must include all 4 character perspectives. The team judged to have the best and most engaging introductory post will receive a significant advantage for the CST. It should also serve to introduce your 4 characters, their personalities, and the team's general dynamic.

Remember, teams will enter the arena with only their wits and their basic supplies. They will leave with far more than anyone could've imagined.
