The Emerald Staff
An organization classified beyond unknown.
A failed project, one that has claimed the lives of many.
Several decades back, when magic was not well practiced but well known, an organization called Deoul ran a small military system, but completely science-based. These men ran on newly-furnished equipment, prototypes that would not be released for perhaps a century. But there was one more thing that made this organization unique: All of the operatives were children. Adolescents, handpicked by the world’s top federal and military officers to run in the Partner’s program. Each duo had a male and a female, the male who had fighting abilities that could grow wild and the female who was one of the best spell casters, but neither had no idea of who they truly were. They led similar lives in the 21st century, until at a certain age they were picked out and offered the choice to join Deoul.
But it all went wrong when the adults executives, guards and scientists opened up a new project: Robot-like projections made of shadows, similar to an Artificial Intelligence program, designed to help out the Deoul. But the AI program failed and all was left were wild, crazy shadow projections that could kill without remorse, and listened to no one but their own brethren.
By the time they discovered the mistake several dozen of these Shadow Wargs were made, and they evolved into their own kinds of bodies, formed nasty and semi-solid wolf-like creatures that were extremely hard to kill. After storming the Deoul base, the Wargs escaped to an unknown fortress, hidden from all humans. They began to collect human minions, a small army of mercenaries for each Warg, all controlled by the Head Warg. Deoul, almost completely destroyed save the few pairs of operatives who had been on mission slowly built back up, until they once again, but much more secretively began to collect new operatives. The first batch was to be recruited soon, 6 children who met the specifications of the Deoul. The only ones who could stop these Shadow Wargs.
