PLEASE NOTE: This is mostly just for a little fun, I liked Irregular and all, so toying around with this. Join if you'd like a bit to do, but remember that this should not be prioritized over finishing Skies of Gold and/or Irregular, or to disrupt the start Afterthought and Nevergreene.
IRREPARABLE
This fortress of iron and steel, buried under frozen, Russian ground, I watch the hundreds who reside within these walls. Fearful of my eyes, subdued by drugs, my prisoners obey and live as they are told. Those powers, the abilities they were once so prideful of, despite their failure to utilize them, now means nothing as long as they are within my domain. Struggle as they might, attempting to refute me, and still they requires a harsh lesson for them to learn.
They forfeit up their option to control their own lives the moment they were born, just as they did with those 'powers' of theirs. The public needs peace, and control, and I provide just that. These prisoners are gifted with privileges to awareness, but those who attempt to break the peace, to escape or defy me, have those very privileges revoked. Those unable to manage themselves cannot be allowed to hinder the lives of the successful.
I command this underground castle, and in return I demand the cooperation of my permanent guests. As long as they do as I say, everyone may be happy. I, the father, them, the children, whom listen to my lessons and do as they are told. Whenever they feel zealous enough to disobey me, I am always there to catch them red handed. With the very few staff members I have to help me maintain and keep check on all of the prisoners, my guidance is needed nearly constantly.
While the outer world hails me as a hero, a kind man to hold all of these defective children and adults, those within this fortress curse me as as the cold warden, as if I was Satan himself, reincarnated into the world. But I do not care. I simply do what I must, and fulfill my job.
For all of time.
Welcome to the Constringitur Asylum
In the far north of Russia, sits the home of a special set of inmates who cannot control their own powers. Deemed unsafe for the public, too dangerous for those around them, these uncontrollable individuals are locked away in the underground dungeon, praised and criticized for it's seemingly omniscient security, despite the shockingly low employee count. The population of the asylum has steadily increased ever since Miroslav Semenov, the tough looking warden reopened the facility twenty-five years ago, after many previously failed attempts of creating a secure structure to house the irregular inmates by other men.
Very weak or minor powers are ignored by the Russian Committee for Irregular Powers, RCIP for short. Abilities that may cause notable collateral damage or harm to others are the usual offenders that are taken into Constringitur, however a few more severe cases may be taken in. Any powers that could cause what might what one may call a 'disaster', or anything that may cause the spontaneous death of multiple persons, are simply executed as soon as they are caught and subdued. Prisoners that have severe mental instability but otherwise have 'control' over their power may also be subjects of imprisonment.
Prisoners are required to take a daily dose of drugs to keep them subdued and obedient, which in turns keep their powers more in line. Those who refuse, or have been found to skip the medication for a few days, are subjected to various forms of punishment, depending how strong their powers are. From 7 PM to 7 AM, inmates are in their cells, locked, and served their morning and evening meals just before and after those times. They are allowed a one hour bodily exorcise period a day, along with highly monitored 'free time' to interact with the other inmates.
With permission, a prisoner may be allowed into the massive library in one of the wings of the underground facility, where thousands of books are stored. They are all books belonging to the warden, who is said to have read and memorized each and every book, thus his lack of care after they have been placed in the library. This is all the education that the younger population can receive.
There is also an above-ground section, however access to this is often heavily restricted to the freezing temperatures, leaving it a health risk to be above ground for more than a minute or so.
All misbehavior is punished.
Miroslav is always watching.
Rules
Treat it like your usual CST type of thing, no bunnying, respect the activities of the other writers. Max two characters per person. Maybe be increased to 3, however, I don't see this becoming big enough to warrant a large roster. Please no joke or 'funny' characters. We don't need another Santa or Mundug running around spraying whipped cream everywhere.
